“Proper, old-fashioned escapism… we should be truly thankful.” –  LondonTheatre1

Tomorrow is only a day away in Woking! Woking Theatre hosts Annie this November. Experience the “unforgettable songs” that have made this show a world-wide favourite for decades, all wrapped in a production that “screams West End quality.”

The Leading Players

Woking audiences are in for a treat as Claire Sweeney takes on the role of the child-hating Miss Hannigan. Opposite her, Alex Bourne provides a “patrician” and authoritative Oliver Warbucks. The cast is further bolstered by Tanisha-Mae Brown as Grace Farrell and Christian Cooper as the slippery Rooster Hannigan.

The energy is kept high by a “superb” group of orphans and, of course, the four-legged star Amber the Labradoodle as Sandy. Whether they are performing It’s The Hard-Knock Life or the iconic Tomorrow, the cast delivers with “energy and brio” under the direction of Nikolai Foster.

Technical Brilliance

Colin Richmond’s “big, bold, and brash” set design transports the audience from the grit of Hooverville to the glitz of 5th Avenue with “seamless” transitions. Combined with Nick Winston’s choreography, it’s a visual feast that perfectly complements the beloved score.
